We all experience stress! Job performance, kids at home, paying the bills, other people, and the list goes on.

What most people do not realize is that stress can impact both your physical and mental health if you do not take care of it.

Stress is a normal body response to a life threatening situation. When you perceive something as threatening, your pupils dilate, muscles tense, body odor develops, you begin the sweat, and you simply do not think properly.

Studies have shown that stress greatly increases risk of viral infections, heart disease, cancer, and virtually every other disease. Stress and your immune system are not friends.

The following are effective ways to manage stress:

  • Take time to exercise and get regular physical activity.
  • Get 8 hours of sleep per night
  • Take time for prayer and meditation
  • Practice time management skills and task prioritization
  • Consider doing yoga and breathing techniques
  • Take time to talk to family and friends

Remember if you are not happy, no one around you will be happy. You cannot let yourself get stressed. For more health information checkout my book:
